Kafue National Park

22,400 sq km wilderness area

Kafue is alive with an incredible mix of wildlife and birdlife, thanks to its diverse range of habitats throughout the largest national park in Zambia.

In the southern part of the park, vast open plains meet beautiful miombo woodlands and seasonal wetlands, home to roaming lions, leopard, and a rich variety of antelope – including sable, roan, bushbuck, puku, impala, reedbuck, and eland.

In the central region, the mighty Kafue River winds through lush riverine forest, offering a mix of river and land-based safari experiences. Head further north and you’ll reach the Busanga Plains – famous for its sweeping views and spectacular lion sightings.

ZAMBIA'S wildlife haven, Kafue National Park, is run by African Parks and is relatively unexplored by tourists.

MAWIMBI is more than a safari, it's a return to the soul of Africa.
