Three nights at a tented bush camp on the Kafue River
Mawimbi Bush Camp is situated on the riverbank of the beautiful Kafue River in the Kafue National Park in west Zambia. There are four large luxury tents, all with a private en-suite bathroom. Each tent has a comprehensive mosquito protective netting with a covered veranda overlooking the river for perfect game viewing and relaxing. The main activities offered are canoeing, game walks and game drives through an amazing variety of habitats and breathtaking scenery. You choose if you want a fast and exciting adventure, or a lazy and leisurely experience.
Explore the shorelines of Lake Itezhi-tezhi
Lake Camp has 3 uniquely design tented chalets looking over the Musa River and Lake Itezhi-tezhi shoreline. The focus of Lake Camp is exploring the Southern Kafue wildlife that is found around Lake Itezhi-tezhi. Here, the mega herbivores like elephant, buffalo and hippo are more common than down on the Plains and so the incredible diversity and variety that Nanzhila is known for delivering simply gets broader with the addition of Lake Camp. In addition to the variety of species, the open floodplains and shorelines around the edges of Lake Itezhi-tezhi make for a stunning wildlife experience.
Wildlife Encounters
Don’t be surprised to hear buck crunching twigs underfoot, or the ripping sound of branches as elephants strip the trees close by.
Lake Views
The tented chalets are all situated along the tree line, giving guests an unobstructed view of the floodplain and shoreline ahead which has a constant flow of wildlife.
Authentic Bush Experience
Comfortable beds with mosquito nets are complimented by a large en-suite bathroom and vanity area and expansive covered verandah for midday game viewing.
